Organic Heaven
Funny how things come together. I had a skype call with my friend Kerry in London Saturday afternoon after Id picked up my weekly fruit and veg at the organic farmers market. About a twenty minute cycle from my home in Istanbul, I fill up my back pack and grab a couple of treats.
Seasonal and super fresh (they pick over night), it tastes great, is loaded with goodness and contains none of the poisonous residues found in conventionally farmed foods. Supermarket bought produce is no match for the fantastic selection here. Bugday have a stall with their mags and information about the organic movement in Turkey and theres stalls with dry goods, olive oils and hot food also.
Kerry’s just got an allotment near her home where she’s started growing organic veg. Great for her and the environment. And a bit of practical exercise at the same time. Shes really loving it.
Theres a lot of info coming out now about the economic benefits of organic farming too. It’s a clean, healthy and efficient way for feeding the masses. So lets get in and support it. Choose organic for your own health and our planets .
