What the World Eats
A colleague of mine sent an email highlighting what different families eat in different countries around the world, and their weekly food expenditure (see highlights below). I had originally seen this in Time Magazine - for more info see the full slideshow.
It’s interesting (read: shocking) to see how processed foods make up a majority of the diet in developed countries, whereas some of the poorer countries are eating more natural foods, and spending so much less each week. This fact is pretty common knowledge, but when you see it in pictures, it really makes an impact.
